Job Summary:
The Office Secretary III will provide advanced word processing and administrative support to the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). This role involves handling complex documents and providing high-level administrative assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced word processing tasks, including creating and formatting complex documents
- Provide administrative support to managers and staff
- Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
- Maintain contact lists and calendars
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Order office supplies and manage inventory
- Provide general support to visitors
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an office secretary or in a similar role
- Advanced word processing skills and proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
