Job Summary:
The Office Secretary III will provide advanced word processing and administrative support to the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). This role involves handling complex documents and providing high-level administrative assistance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced word processing tasks, including creating and formatting complex documents
  • Provide administrative support to managers and staff
  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
  • Maintain contact lists and calendars
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Order office supplies and manage inventory
  • Provide general support to visitors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an office secretary or in a similar role
  • Advanced word processing skills and proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
