Explore Tarzan Ops, an affiliate of TPS Construction Services, is currently accepting applications for Plant Manager for a Frac Sand Plant in Midland, Texas.
Schedule: Mon-Tues-Fri-Sat-Sun one week, Wed-Thurs the next.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the management of all aspects of frac sand operation.
- Lead and manage all safety efforts at the plant as well as site planning, pit development, quality control, and maintenance function.
- Ensure compliance with company mandated safety and environmental policies, programs and guidelines as well as regulatory compliance.
- Lead management team and employees, providing strong leadership, training, team building, and supervision.
- Manage all planning, operational, financial, safety, environmental, personnel, and community relations duties at the plant in accordance with company programs, policies, and guidelines as well as government agencies including MSHA and the EPA.
- Employee may be subject to changing weather conditions, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, working from heights, and non-hazardous chemicals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years’ plant management experience, preferably in the sand or aggregate industry.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Mining or Civil, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control a plus.
- Working knowledge and understanding of MSHA regulations.
- Thorough understanding of operation and maintenance of aggregate and sand processing equipment.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, capable of developing and maintaining good relationships with company and regulatory agency personnel.
- Strong leadership skills; possess the ability to lead, manage and motivate; have a proven track record for creating employee ownership of safety, production and quality.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
- Possess a strong personal commitment to safety.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekend and nights, where necessary.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, motor vehicle records check (when applicable), and physical/occupational screenings.

Salary : $110,000 - $139,000
