TPS Group is seeking a detail oriented and organized Accounting Manager, Accounting Associate or Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading our efforts in maintaining accurate financial records and performing routine accounting tasks. This role requires leadership, proficiency in QuickBooks, and excellent organizational skills. Multiple entity experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Recordkeeping: Accurately record financial transactions in the general ledger.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and cash receipts.
Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
Intercompany: Manage intercompany transactions for all entities.
Support: Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements.
Leadership: Possess an owners mentality and take ownership of all things accounting.
Ensuring Financial Security: Follow internal accounting controls and secures financial information. Follow GAAP standards.
Team Collaboration: Contribute to team effort to accomplish related results as needed. Performs other duties as assigned to support team efforts.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Self-motivated, resourceful team player with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and able to successfully multitask.
- 3 years experience in a Bookkeeping role.
- 3 years of Excel
- 3 years of solid QuickBooks is required.
- Understanding of general accounting principles.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to commute into our North Haven CT location. Remote hybrid schedule may be available for experienced candidates after successfully learning the role.
