Summary : Installs, modifies, and makes repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical assistance and training to system users by performing the following duties :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Installs computer hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, network equipment, etc.
  • Loads specified software packages such as operating systems, office applications, and other core business software into computer via computer imaging or standard installs.
  • Monitors and observes system functions to verify correct system operation. Corrects or reports to IT team / Director of IT as needed.
  • Responds to user inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems via the IT Help Desk.
  • Recommends and performs actions to correct issues / problems / concerns.
  • Refers major hardware / network problems to IT Director for further guidance.
  • Able to run, terminate, test network cable as needed.
  • Able to perform network troubleshooting tasks and report as needed to the IT team for further investigation.
  • Able to perform computer images to PCs via IT Department SOPs
  • Able to monitor mobile device polices and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Onboard and train new hires by following best IT practices and procedures.
  • Able to document within the IT Helpdesk Knowledgebase / on repeat issues.
  • Able to properly use internal IT tools for troubleshooting and remote access to Endpoints

    Education and / or Experience : Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills : Database software, Internet software, Manufacturing software and MS Office.
