Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Additionally, experience with Best RX is a plus.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including intravenous and inhalation therapies.
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper labeling of prescriptions.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and health-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care in critical care settings.
- Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists when required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and aseptic techniques during medication preparation.
- Participate in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications as needed.
- Stay updated on pharmacy practices, regulations, and medical terminology relevant to patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and critical care practices.
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and medication administration procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
