We are actively seeking a Global Maritime Response Plan (GMRP) Project Manager to join our USFF team in Norfolk, VA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to our dynamic organization.
Responsibilities:
-Analyze training requirements and strategize plans to produces quality analytic work in the form of information papers, white papers, briefs, and executive correspondence.
-Deliver a comprehensive MOC training continuum, encompassing functional part-task training, and team and staff collective training, culminating in a major readiness exercise event over a 24-month period.
-Track accomplishment of staff training objectives and ensure mission essential tasks align with TJFMCC/CJTF guidance and intent.
-Analyze naval/maritime processes to include integration with other warfighting functions to identify strengths and weaknesses in preparation for and during an exercise
-Coordinate with TJFMCC and adjacent Task Forces to determine logistics requirements and consolidate staff supportability plans and analysis.
-Integrate Operational Design elements into CTF operations in support of the development of planned operations and crisis actions plans.
-Support conduct of on-going TFJMCC and CTF campaigns, operations, and crisis response in support of Commander’s objectives.
-Utilize knowledge of organizational processes, strategies, goals and objectives to facilitate knowledge management activities.
-Act as lead Knowledge Management Process Improvement Facilitator to boost overall organizational performance and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline desired, but not required.
At least ten (10) years of combined experience that spans the following areas:
-Operation and maintenance of US Navy ships/submarines.
-US Navy Training and Maritime Operations
-Planning and Operational Assessments
Alternate Acceptable Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree with eight (8) years of General Experience, six (6) years must be of recent Specific Experience.
2. Master’s Degree with seven (7) years of General Experience, five (5) years must be of recent Specific Experience.
-Must have expertise in US Navy Training, Maritime Operations, and Ship Maintenance.
-Must have knowledge of US Navy Planning and Operational Assessment efforts.
-Must have excellent technical writing and editing skills for reviewing and proofreading documents.
-Must have the ability to draft, edit, proofread, and provide recommendations to senior leadership about Naval Correspondence (letters, messages, etc.) and Naval Instruction revisions/changes.
-Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite applications.
-Possess written and oral communication skills commensurate with a lead management role.
-Well-developed reasoning and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage risk and influence others.
