JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for TQL, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and enhancing the enterprise IT security vision and strategy. Reporting to the CIO, you will lead the efforts to identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes across the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance. This executive role requires strategic and tactical leadership, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to effectively communicate security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

  • Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program.
  • Align security initiatives with enterprise goals and business objectives to ensure a balanced approach to risk management.
  • Act as a thought leader on cybersecurity, presenting updates and recommendations to the executive leadership team and board of directors.

Risk Management :

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks to the organization’s information assets.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Oversee the development and enforcement of information security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Incident Response :

  • Lead the development and execution of security incident response plans.
  • Coordinate responses to security incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Partner with law enforcement and government agencies when required.
  • Technology & Operations :

  • Oversee the implementation and management of security technologies, SIEM, identify and access management, encryption, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security into system development life cycles.
  • Ensure secure architecture for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Team Development :

  • Build and lead a high-performing information security team.
  • Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness through training and education programs for all employees.
  • Mentor and develop team members, ensuring continuous professional growth.
  • Collaboration & Communication :

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, compliance, and operations, to address security concerns.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for security-related matters within the organization.
  • Establish strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry groups to stay abreast of emerging threats and best practices.
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior IT security roles, with at least 5 years as a Vice President or CISO responsible for leading enterprise-wide IT security functions
  • Proven experience in managing complex security programs for large organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies, frameworks, and standards.
  • Preferred certifications include : CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CRISC, CCSP
  • Experience integrating mergers and acquisitions is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, networking, and security architectures.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2).
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
