What you’ll be doing:
- Supports select TQL events; responsibilities ranging from conceptualization, timeline, budget, event promo, vendor relations, food and beverage, entertainment and post-event follow up
- Partners with internal customers and other members of the Events Team on all event needs for 9,000 TQL employees and their families across multiple locations nationwide
- Collaborates with internal teams and serve as a liaison for vendors, ensuring event deliverables meet and exceed expectations
- Tracks participation and demographic data post-event to evaluate the need to improve/restructure those events in the future
- Supports TQL’s event-related marketing and engagement efforts
- Works nights and weekends as needed to ensure presence at special events
What you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3 years of experience managing all aspects of corporate event planning
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed for events
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events and event setup; lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs. (event materials, decorations, equipment, etc.)
- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including working some nights and weekends to ensure presence at special events
- Team-oriented performer with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
- Extreme attention to detail
- Excellent communication and keen customer awareness, both external and internal
- Outstanding budget management and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a multitasking, fast-paced work environment
- Hands-on work ethic
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel
