Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of materials and products within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting.
Duties
- Operate a standup forklift to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as required.
- Assist in order picking and preparing shipments for distribution.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and assist with warehouse management tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Strong skills in materials handling, order picking, and basic math for inventory management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory.
