We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Lead interested in a Temp to Hire opportunity.
The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations within the warehouse. This role involves managing a team of warehouse employees to ensure efficient workflow, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and optimizing inventory management processes.
The Team Lead will also ensure that all shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures are followed and that the warehouse operates smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, they are tasked with training new employees, monitoring performance, and addressing operational issues promptly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising staff
- Enforcing health and safety regulations
- Maintaining efficiency while tracking labor costs
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate seamless supply chain operations
- Support continuous improvement
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assist with training of team members
- Oversee the daily workflow
- Verify outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures
- Keep team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives
- Maintain detailed and accurate work records
- Collaborate with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with stand-up forklift
- Experience with shipping and receiving
- Knowledge of inventory processes including pick locations and lot codes
- Verbal and written communication skills – English required
- Must have computer and basic math skills
- Ability to motivate a team to accomplish objectives.
- Good attendance
- Positive attitude
- Prolonged periods standing and working in a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
