TRAC Associates is currently recruiting for Behavioral Technician apprentices in the Tacoma area. Behavioral Technician duties can include:
SUMMARY:
This position assists clinical staff by maintaining safety and security, assisting clients, and performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responds to telephone inquiries about the program.
- Completes the intake process for new admissions.
- Supervises clients during scheduled and recreational activities. Provides security patrol.
- Assists with client needs.
- Provides basic consultation to clients.
- Supervises and/or facilitates group activities, meetings, movies, and discussions.
- Provides support to client community by reinforcing programmatic guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Provides transportation for clients in agency vehicle, as directed.
- Enters client medication(s) into electronic healthcare record (EHR). Supervises client’s use of medication(s) and makes appropriate entries into the EHR. Documents client’s medication compliance and efficacy in the EHR.
- Performs CNA-level clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting clients with their personal care, and communicating clients’ health concerns to other health care personnel.
- Provides office support, such as:
- Photocopying and assembling client binders, lecture handouts, and other items.
- Administering satisfaction surveys to admitting and discharging patients.
- Filing and uploading documents and forms.
- Other office support duties as assigned.
- Registers visitors, inspects packages, and stores visitor bags in a secure area.
- Records information regarding client behavior and events/incidents in a log. Completes incident report forms and other forms when appropriate.
- Conducts emergency drills as directed.
- Operates a computer to enter and retrieve data. Operates other office machines such as telephone, adding machine, and photocopier/fax machines.
- Perform duties associated with admitting clients, including orientation, health and safety information, urinalysis collection, inventory/security of patient items, and review of program expectations and guidelines.
- In all tasks and duties, employees are expected to:
