Job Description: Sustainability Reporting Specialist
Tracera is in search of a passionate Regulatory Reporting Specialist with 2 years of experience in ESG Regulations (preference for CSRD). This Regulatory Reporting Specialist will work closely with our Product, Customer Success, and Sales teams to inform and co-design features for our SaaS Platform, lead our ESG engagements such as CSRD gap assessments, write CSRD compliant reports, and actively lead entire sustainability projects for any clients with company-specific sustainability reporting needs.
Our goal is to make ESG data collection and reporting easy, efficient, and enjoyable. We help sustainability teams focus on driving meaningful impact in Environmental, Social, and Governance domains rather than getting bogged down with reporting tasks.
How did ESG Flo come about?
Tracera is an AI-enabled Data Infrastructure and Reporting Solution designed to automate the ESG data gathering process and provide real-time insights into ESG factors. This software makes ESG reporting and decision making seamless by optimizing extraction, validation, and transformation of relevant data. It is built from the ground up with auditability in mind.

What will I be doing?
You will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients through the entire sustainability reporting process. With existing clients, you will lead corporate sustainability report development, from stakeholder identification and data collection to data analysis and compelling storytelling. You will also lead consulting engagements tailored to client-specific sustainability needs, including drafting CSRD, SBTi, and Gap Assessment reports, as well as overseeing client compliance with EU Taxonomy and other industry-specific reporting requirements. For prospective clients, you will act as the subject matter expertise in Sustainability regulations and work with them to identify how best Tracera can support them. With the Product team, you will provide valuable insights into regulatory content and co-design solutions.
To be more specific, you will:
- Develop and Write Corporate Sustainability Reports
- Conduct stakeholder engagement processes to identify material sustainability topics.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather key sustainability data.
- Collect, validate, and analyze ESG data for report inclusion.
- Translate complex ESG data into clear, impactful narratives aligned with CSRD, GRI, SASB, and other frameworks.
- Craft compelling sustainability reports that highlight corporate initiatives, performance, and progress.
- Refresh and validate recurring data points included in previous reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Track, compile, and report key client-specific ESG metrics, including carbon emissions, waste diversion, water usage, and corporate citizenship initiatives.
- Collaborate with data teams to improve reporting accuracy and process efficiency.
- Lead consulting engagements depending on client needs
- Conduct gap assessments for clients to identify compliance gaps in CSRD, SBTi, other sustainability frameworks.
- Fully manage the end-to-end process of creating and delivering ESG reports, ensuring all client-specific sustainability reporting needs are met.
- Guide clients through Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) alignment.
- Conduct workshops and assist clients in their compliance journey towards regulatory compliance. Figure out their needs and gaps to strategically guide their process.
- Participate in client meetings and provide support where needed on their ongoing sustainability initiatives.
- Ideate ways that Tracera can provide further support and actively flag upsell opportunities.
- Be a feature development partner for Product
- Ensure that the Product is compliant with regulations and contribute to the development of product content and features.
- Support the Product organization with new ideas and industry insights and ensure accurate feature prioritization.
- Participate in co-creation workshops with Product Managers and Designers.
- BONUS: Be a subject matter expert in sales conversations
- Participate in later-stage sales conversations with prospective clients to better understand their current sustainability challenges and demo product features
- Provide insights into immediate collaboration opportunities with Tracera.
- Synthesize insights to pass on to Customer Success and Product teams.

Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in sustainability reporting, corporate sustainability, or professional services.
- You have experience in compliance report writing such as TCFD, CDP, GRI, and SASB.
- You have familiarity with EU Taxonomy and CSRD
- You have had client-facing roles
- Bonus points for legal educational background.
- Bonus points for familiarity with the software startup ecosystem

Please note that this role begins with a 90-day evaluation period during which you will collaborate with the team to define your objectives. Your performance will be assessed based on these objectives at the end of the 90-day window.
