Resident Assistants (RAs) - NEEDED at the Mitchell Center
- 8 HOUR SHIFTS - must be able to rotate between two shifts (11a-7p & 3p-11p)
- Also must have a flexible schedule with some weekend scheduled work.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about caring for seniors and who can provide personalized assistance to help our residents maintain their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with serving meals to ensure that dietary needs are met.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Clean and organized living environment for Elders.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an RA/Personal Caregiver in an assisted living facility is preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
