Press Brake Operato r
Job Purpose : Operation of the Press Brake Machine
FLSA Status : Hourly Non-Exempt
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Independently set up & operate Amada Press Brake Machine
- Ensure proper tooling and fixturing as well as reporting operation times Interfacing with programmers, engineers and other team members for problem solving
- Work within tolerances of -.005 in sheet metal up to ¼ thick
- Can perform single and multiple set ups on single brake
- Program and form parts at press brake using blueprint within designated tolerance
- Record inspection measurements using dial / digital calipers, protractors, and height gages
- Work with aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and copper materials
- Study, understand, and follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, job travelers, facility procedures, and parts list
- Maintain orderliness of product, equipment, tools, supplies, ESD, part handling and inventory points within Fabrication
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or by reading measurements
- Report assembly, equipment, material, and / or quality problems to Manager to obtain additional resources or direction
- Complete preventive maintenance per schedule / instructions
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with PPE procedures, work rules, and regulations
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks, or rotating through different processes / jobs as required or directed
- Operate per established Company Policies and Procedures
- Other tasks as assigned by Management
