Tracey Road Equipment is seeking to hire full-time Aggregate Equipment Field Technician for the Watertown branch. This position is unique in that they are responsible for traveling around the region to work on equipment at the customers site. Travel is frequent, but occasionally work will be done out of the physical branch in Watertown.
A successful candidate:
- Diagnose, repair, and overhaul mechanical aggregate equipment such as screening plants, mobile or stationary crushers, conveyors, etc.
- Diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, compacters, dozers, etc.
- Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufactures' specifications.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Weld or fabricate broken parts for repair, improvements, or upgrades.
- Communicate repairs progress to direct supervisors.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Willingness to travel based on customer needs.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of aggregate specific equipment.
- Ability to weld with Mig or Stick.
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
- Ability to read and comprehend diagnostic service information.
- Ability to gather date, compile information, and prepare routine paperwork.
- Ability to understand directions and follow standard operating procedures.
- Familiar with MSHA and OSHA standards.
