Assistant Manager (ASM) / Store Manager (SM)
Reports to: HQ
Overview
The Assistant Manager / Store Manager contributes to the successful financial growth of the company by leading the retail team in creating an amazing retail store environment. Some of the areas of responsibility include:
Leading the Team
- Leading by example. Hiring the right team, clearly communicating expectations, equipping the team with the right training and ensuring the team performs at their best through feedback and coaching
Customer Service
- Creating a positive, welcoming, friendly, clean, and fun environment for customers
- Assisting customers in creating amazing outfits, providing value-added suggestions and recommendations when needed
- Resolving any potential concerns or issues that may arise in a friendly and professional manner
Merchandising
- Ensuring that the new styles that are launched weekly are stylishly and efficiently displayed
- Processing weekly shipment quickly and accurately
- Refreshing floor sets and wall sets, mannequins and all areas of the store with each week's new shipment
- Must have both fashion and retail sense to create an efficient floor plan
Inventory Management
- Monitoring inventory levels and conducting periodic inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Communicating with HQ on new styles trends in their store along with all other inventory needs such as replenishments, transfers or markdowns
Store Operations
- Planning and executing day-to-day store operations
- Completing daily reports, running opening and/or closing procedures, processing deposits
- Creating efficient schedules and communicating staffing needs and schedules with each team member
- Receiving and processing shipment, delegating tasks to appropriate team members
Requirements
- Proven ability to lead a team
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Must act with integrity and professionalism without bias or prejudice at all times
- Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., perform frequent standing, walking, repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, and work with cleaning chemicals
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, which may include closing and weekend shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
