What are the responsibilities and job description for the Used Parts Warehouse Worker position at Tractor and Equipment?
About the Position:
The Used Parts Warehouse position in our Billings, MT branch serves as an interface with our valuable customers.
- This position is required to work inside the warehouse and out in the yard during inclement weather.
- In this position you will need to be able to:
- Pull used parts
- Clean parts using the appropriate tools, paint parts, and prepare parts for shipping.
- Use a power washer, grinder, power tools, bead blaster, circular saw, chop saw and chainsaw when necessary.
- Build appropriate size pallet boxes.
- Operate small, medium and large forklifts in paved, cement, gravel in dirt / mud environments.
- Load and un-load a variety of used parts from trucks and trailers.
- Identify a variety of construction and mining parts.
- Look up parts in CAT S.I.S. program
- Use ABS to upload parts, parts pricing, and upload pictures.
- Use DBS to look up parts, part location and part pricing.
- Document part numbers, take photos of parts, and log part location.
- While taking inventory be able to determine if the part is reusable according to Caterpillar guidelines.
- Work independently
- Work in a safe manner and follow all company safety policies.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Warehouse experience preferred.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- This is a physically demanding job that requires standing, walking and picking parts for an 8 hour day.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Attention to detail.
- Organized.
- Dependable, excellent attendance record.
