Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
Experience: 10 years overall quality engineering and software testing experience. Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams and quality transformation initiatives. Demonstrated experience with automation frameworks and modern testing practices. Strong background in both automated and manual testing approaches, with proven success leading organizational change. Retail industry experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field from an accredited college or university. Advanced degree in Computer Science or Business Administration desirable. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Management (cTAL-TM), ISTQB Certified Tester Expert Level Test Management Strategic Test Management (CTEL-TM-SM)
High Demand IT specialized skills: Python programming and code review capabilities, test automation framework design and strategy, performance testing and optimization, CI/CD pipeline integration, test strategy development and execution, quality metrics and analytics

- Direct, lead, and oversee Quality Engineering & Assurance activities across all projects and programs, orchestrating the seamless integration of automated and manual testing approaches while ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet stakeholder expectations.
- Drive the organization's automation-first transformation by leading the adoption and evolution of the Quality Engineering framework, ensuring standardization across teams while maintaining the flexibility to address unique testing needs.
- Build and develop high-performing teams through effective recruitment, mentoring, and professional development programs. Lead the upskilling of existing team members while attracting and retaining the next generation of talent.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership to align quality strategies with business objectives, ensuring appropriate resource allocation, staffing models, and quality metrics that demonstrate value to the organization.
- Manage departmental capital and operational expenses effectively, ensuring optimal resource utilization while maintaining high standards of quality delivery and service excellence.
- Champion the "Building quality in and testing quality throughout" philosophy by establishing and maintaining quality gates, metrics, and standards across the software development lifecycle.
- Lead the strategic balance between automated and manual testing capabilities, ensuring effective collaboration between each function while optimizing test coverage and execution efficiency.
- Establish and maintain performance testing standards and practices, ensuring applications meet performance requirements through comprehensive testing and monitoring strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies, tools, and processes while maintaining alignment with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile principles.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for quality solutions, demonstrating proficiency in code review, testing frameworks, and modern quality engineering practices while maintaining credibility with technical team members and stakeholders.
