Lead Administrator - IT Database
Overall Job Summary
This position is responsible for the recoverability, availability, performance, and compliance of Tractor Supply’s database environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
Design, implement, and monitor backup and recovery procedures for database systems.
Participate 24x7 on call rotations.
Design and implement high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions for database systems.
Coordinate and schedule with application teams for code migrations, database maintenance, and enhancements.
Configure automated proactive and reactive monitoring of database systems.
Design, implement, audit, and remediate database compliance and security requests.
Anticipate business needs for database systems around resources, performance, and recoverability.
Document processes and procedures for the database team for installation configuration, and security.
Provide leadership and mentoring to team members.
Required Qualifications
Experience : 10 years’ experience in Information Technology. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS from an accredited college or university.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
Advanced knowledge in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
Advanced ability to work on highly complex projects.
Advanced ability to work on big data concepts (Hadoop, NoSQL) is preferred.
Advanced ability to work with engineered database machines (Exadata, PureData).
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
