Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of maintenance and repair skills, enabling them to tackle various tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship in residential settings.
This job will be all over the Atlanta surrounding area. Prior jobs have been in Dallas, Powder Springs, Kennesaw, Dacula, Lawernceville, Acworth, and Cumming. So having a personal vehicle to get to the job is a must. Each job could be as short as a half a day to a 3 day job depending on the size of the job.
Fast turn around on jobs is very important. We aren’t looking for perfection we are looking for average quality.
Examples of job tasks are replacing smoke detectors, flooring repair/patch, sink and drain repair, door handle replacement, pressure washing, light landscaping, window replacements, replacing door casing and trim, caulking, fixture repair/replacement, installing cabinets, cleaning laundry vents, installing shelving, tile work, garage door replacement, deck work, etc.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Utilize tools and equipment safely and effectively, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify issues that require attention.
- Respond promptly to service requests from management.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople as needed to complete projects efficiently.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools relevant to maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- fixtures, and general construction practices.
- Knowledge of using an Ohmmeter for electrical testing is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in all work performed.
