Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of different materials and surfaces. This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our clients' expectations. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and maintaining tools and equipment.
This job will be all over the Atlanta surrounding area. Prior jobs have been in Dallas, Powder Springs, Kennesaw, Dacula, Lawernceville, Acworth, and Cumming. So having a personal vehicle to get to the job is a must. Each job could be as short as a half a day to a 3 day paint job depending on the size of the job.
Fast turn around on paint jobs is very important. We aren’t looking for perfection we are looking for average quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects, including drywall installation and concrete finishing.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to ensure a flawless finish.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including power tools used in the painting process.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting or industrial painting is preferred.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing, masonry, stucco application, and drywall installation is a plus.
- Familiarity with the use of power tools and other painting equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics related to painting projects.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
