Job Title: Parts Delivery Driver
Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and responsible Parts Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting automotive parts and other materials to designated locations in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver parts and materials to customers, suppliers, and service centers.
- Verify the accuracy of the parts and materials to be delivered, ensuring that all deliveries are complete and correct.
- Follow delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by being professional, courteous, and helpful to clients when delivering parts.
- Communicate with parts department to ensure the correct items are loaded for delivery.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Handle returns or exchanges of parts if needed, in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, including reporting discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Ensure proper storage and securing of parts in the vehicle to prevent damage during transport.
- Assist with other duties in the parts department such as organizing parts, restocking inventory, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in delivery, driving, or logistics preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry parts of varying sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- May require long periods of driving and occasional heavy lifting.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
