Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) is a dynamic hub for government, business, commerce and the community, in the heart of the nation’s capital. As the first and only federal building dedicated to both public and private use, the Reagan Building is the official World Trade Center Washington, DC, featuring a premier conference and events center, executive office space, attractions and exhibits, retail, dining, parking and public programming.  

Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, is seeking a General Manager to join our team.

The General Manager provides oversight of all TCMA operations, including property management, food and beverage, and The World Trade Center DC.  This person will implement and maintain systems and procedures that will produce the highest level of service and customer satisfaction while maintaining or exceeding budgeted profitability.
This includes delegating tasks and assignments, focusing on achieving goals and objectives using available resources (staff and budgetary). And manages TCMA’s relationship with the GSA, ensuring that all deliverables are presented accurately, professionally, and on time.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and mentor management team
  • Senior Leadership team will report to this position
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are consistent with our mission to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to plans and budgets
  • Develop systems to optimize productivity and profitability
  • Conceive and develop concepts/changes which meet operation criteria, and the needs of the marketplace, and are cost effective
  • Design and introduce creative approaches to resolving revenue generation/quality/profitability tradeoffs (e.g. improved quality of product and service at higher cost and price, but with greater total dollar profit versus simply cost ratio control)
  • Ensure guest satisfaction at the highest levels
  • Monitor applicable subcontractors’ performance and remedy as needed
  • Develop and maintain the highest standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout the building
  • Understand the needs of the various stakeholders of the organization, then synthesize and deliver a product that is consistent with market realities
  • Ensure all departments are operating within local laws at all times
  • Ensure that all necessary products and services are provided at all times
  • Monitor pricing structures and make recommendations for change as needed
  • Identify potential revenue streams and develop plans to maximize revenue to the company
  • Conflict Resolution both internal and external
  • Represent TCMA/Drew Company at industry events and in the hospitality/convention center communities
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management or similar field
  • A minimum of 12 years executive management experience and success with upscale property management company and/or hospitality company; dealing with a large and diverse work-force environment required
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication abilities with strong interpersonal skills to follow-up effectively with all levels of staff
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
