The Role
Trade needs a driven and detail-oriented operator who is looking to have an outsized impact on a growing business. This role spans a range of responsibilities and will provide you with the opportunity to engage with stakeholders across levels, meaning it is perfect for someone who is motivated to learn about the inner workings of a consumer-oriented startup. The ideal candidate is someone who is focused on getting the best out of the people around them and knows how to do it.
As Trade’s HR and Business Operations Associate, you will:
- Own the day-to-day management of a 35 person office.
- Act as the primary point of contact for candidates through the recruiting process.
- Coordinate and oversee the successful onboarding of new hires, from getting them set up with equipment to making sure they know their 30, 60, and 90-day goals.
- Help establish and maintain a positive company culture by supporting everything from regular All Hands meetings to anniversary celebrations to bi-annual volunteer events.
- Source and manage equipment, devices, and whatever else is needed so that all employees have access to the tools they need to be successful.
- Ensure that the office is set up to provide the team with everything they need to be productive, effective, and happy in our work environment.
- Develop new culture-building initiatives and work with the team to bring them to life.
- Consult on strategies to enhance employee performance and retention.
- Be trained in CX fundamentals to support customers and the team across phones, email, SMS, and chat during peak periods, like holidays.

- 2-3 years of experience in an HR admin or office management role.

Office Guidelines
While we operate in a hybrid-first environment, the office is open and available for all Monday through Friday. The team spends at least three days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in-office each week. Our goal is to foster collaboration, connection, and transparency, and we know from experience the important role that in-person time plays in this effort.

Trade is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Salary ranges are determined through alignment with market data. Base salary is determined by a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills.
NYC Base Salary Range
$65,000-$75,000
In addition, Trade offers comprehensive benefits, including company-paid health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including vacation time and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
