What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spool Checker position at TRADE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY L?
Overview:
The Spool Checker reviews pipe spool drawings against customer isometric and/or orthographic drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Review job packages prior to checking spool drawings
- Check and review spool drawings for corrections
- Check materials on spool drawings to ensure compliance with customer specifications
- Create RFI’s for project management
- Comply with all Company Core Safety Rules, policies and procedures.
- Report any unsafe conditions wherever they exist to the safety department, their supervisor, or the management of Trade Construction immediately.
- Report all incidents/accidents/injuries involving the health and wellbeing of any employee to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting isometric & orthographic drawings
- Professional ability to work well with staff and client personnel
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven organizational skills
- 3-5 years piping experience is preferred
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines or business demands
