What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Clerk position at TRADE MANAGEMENT?
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels
- Break down pallets
- Build pallets
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly
- Monitor and analyze inventory data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions
- Implement best practices for order fulfillment and procurement processes
- Lead the team in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Train and mentor team members on inventory management procedures
Skills:
- Must be able to break down pallets of merchandise in order to verify what is being received, keep it organized, and consolidate pallets accordingly.
- Must be able to take accurate counts of merchandise being received.
- Must be able to use Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel in order to fill out merchandise receiving sheets.
- Familiarity with production planning concepts and techniques
- Must be able to locate merchandise after it has been added to inventory utilizing our inventory software (will be trained to do so).
- Forklift certification or experience operating a forklift is a plus, but not required.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, analytics expertise, and experience in order fulfillment, procurement, supplier management, production planning, data visualization, supply chain management, category management, and forklift operation.
