Senior Copywriter:
The Senior Copywriter is a critical part of the creative team - Equally adept at solving business problems conceptually as they are at demonstrating writing craft to create high-quality creative work. The Senior Copywriter is capable of coming up with “the idea” and also able to clearly and articulate how it delivers on strategy. The Senior Copywriter is a true creative craftsperson - well versed in how to bring ideas to life in the modern digital ecosystem brands need most - the social and digital platforms, plus traditional mediums.
Experience Plusses:
Experience working at a platform, like Meta or Pinterest, a modern agency, or a brand that understands the opportunity of the content and digital space
Passion for creative ideas that live natively in the places people spend their digital lives
Experience concepting content across the spectrum - digital video, short and long form content, episodic series, TV, radio, social content and emerging platforms
Portfolio of highly-creative work recognized or awarded for craft, effectiveness or innovation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivering excellent copywriting and craftsmanship
- Generating inventive, engaging, strategic creative ideas that have potential to gain the recognition of the industry and culture
- Creating bar-raising creative work engineered for the social and digital space consistently
- Shepherding a creative idea from inception through to production
- Collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver solutions that work across mediums and platforms for multi-audience, multi-media campaigns
- Demonstrating an expertise in the content and digital spaces brands use to engage with their audiences, and passion for emerging platforms and a passion for what’s next
- Drive for experimentation, ideation, tinkering, and making things in service of continual learning and growing
- Cultivating a strong understanding of the unique creative opportunities and strategic differences of different platforms (Meta vs. Pinterest vs. OLA for example)
- Ability to understand a brand’s identity and core guidelines —specifically the brand voice - and deliver highly-creative work that honors it
- Collaboration with the larger team in service of a successful project. Accountability and responsibility for success and excellence
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Portfolio or creative samples demonstrating an understanding of modern advertising.
- 5-7 years writing experience client-side, in-house, at an agency or other creative enterprise.
- Strong writing and verbal skills.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
- Effective handling of multiple assignments in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable with and receptive to feedback; desire to quickly address feedback.
- Attention to detail.
- Accountability and self-motivation.
