Join our skilled team of Pipefitters in the Norfolk area! We are hiring Journeymen, to support the repair, modernization, and installation of critical marine piping systems. With opportunities for growth and competitive compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove, repair, fabricate, install, and test marine piping systems, including Auxiliary Salt Water, Fire Main, Potable Water, Hydraulic, Compressed Air, Fuel Oil, and more.
- Utilize blueprints, NAVSEA/Military standards, and specifications to complete tasks.
- Operate shop equipment, such as pipe threading machines, bending machines, drill presses, and brazing tools.
- Perform strain-free installations of pumps and ship equipment.
- Conduct pressure testing of tanks and structural boundaries.
Skill Levels:
- Journeyman: 5 years of expertise, mastery of marine piping systems, advanced fabrication skills, and ability to lead tasks and mentor others.
Qualifications:
- Silver Braze certification is required (testing will be conducted).
- 5 years of relevant pipefitting experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Willingness to work 50 hours per week.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
