Drive Environmental Excellence as a Regional Leader
We’re seeking a Regional Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance and sustainability efforts across multiple Tradebe locations in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. In this high-impact role, you’ll develop and implement programs that ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
With a focus on RCRA hazardous waste management, wastewater, air permitting, stormwater control, and remediation, you’ll balance strategic planning with hands-on execution to drive operational excellence. Based in Meriden, CT, this role also includes direct oversight of an Environmental Compliance Manager, supporting their growth and ensuring alignment with company objectives.

What will you do? Make an impact!
Environmental Programs and Policies:
- Develop and implement environmental programs to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance while promoting sustainability.
- Work with Operations to maintain permits, manage renewals, and provide compliance training.
- Establish a compliance training program to support regulatory adherence.
Leadership and Expertise:
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to teams.
- Promote a "zero-incident mentality" organization-wide.
- Act as the POC for agency communications across three states, ensuring compliance oversight and notifications.
Risk Assessment and Incident Management:
- Develop and manage environmental risk assessments and compliance audits.
- Identify and mitigate high-risk occurrences using historical data and audits.
- Implement root cause analysis for near-miss and failure events.
- Share post-incident insights through reports, investigations, and communications.
Operational Excellence:
- Maintain "inspection-ready" status across all operations.
- Enhance environmental management systems for recordkeeping and compliance tracking.
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting of air emissions, TRI, Tier II, SWPPP, and hazardous waste data.
Do you have what it takes?
Education: BS Degree in Environmental Health, Chemical Engineering, Organizational Leadership, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree with an emphasis on environmental studies is a plus
Preferred certifications include CIH, CSP, CPEA, or CHMM
Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in implementing environmental standards, training, and legal compliance. Proven experience in leading cultural change across an organization, with expertise in leveraging various approaches to facilitate sustained change. Demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement activities and programs, utilizing processes, tools, and best practices.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization
- Strong ability to influence change across functional and demographic boundaries
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

This is an on-site position. 2 days in the office, 3 days on site. ~25% travel (day trips) in the northeast, once per week to Meriden, CT and Bridgeport, CT, monthly to Stoughton, MA and quarterly to Newington, NH. No overnight travel.
