Travelling Electrical Foreman

Tradeco Construction is currently seeking a  Travelling Electrical Foreman for our client Veracity Electric in Kansas City, KS. The preferred candidate will be a direct employee of Veracity Electric, as this is a direct hire position. This position reports directly to the Superintendent. The successful candidate will be an individual, willing to travel when needed to provide leadership, knowledge, team chemistry and safety on all projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure on-time project completion per blueprints and specifications, while staying under budget
• Achieve team satisfaction by fostering growth, morale, and collaboration through effective leadership and continuous personal and professional development.
• Deliver high-quality work to achieve client satisfaction, ensuring strong relationships for future projects and company success.
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks and maintain a zero-incident safety record by adhering to all safety practices.
• Ensure 100% compliance with policies and procedures, maintaining open communication through daily logs and two-week look-aheads.
• Maintaining a positive attitude and working atmosphere while solving issues and problems on the jobsite.
• In planning, anticipate challenges, be mindful of the budget, document delays, communicate clearly, and take ownership.
• Lead your team with accountability and mentorship, maintaining morale while patiently teaching others and upholding safety guidelines.
• To ensure a successful project, adhere to plan specifications and codes, maintain the schedule, and accurately take off material.​​
• Navigate problem-solving, manage change orders effectively, and have a firm grasp on your scope of work.
• Attend meetings, provide feedback to the team, and coordinate with other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience as a journeyman electrician and in a foreman role.
• Preferred 5 to 7 years’ experience as a journeyman electrician and in a foreman role.
• Ability to utilize NEC Code book, blueprints, specifications, and local AHJ codes.
• Skillfully read and comprehend blueprints and specifications while applying a strong understanding of electrical codes.
• Exhibit professionalism by consistently following through on commitments and maintaining clear communication.
• Plan strategically, solve problems adeptly, demonstrate precision in taking off material, and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
• Operate equipment skillfully, be tech savvy, apply safety knowledge, and exercise good judgment.
• Embrace constructive criticism, listen attentively, fuel your actions with selfmotivation, and adapt with ease.
