Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Installation Technician to join our team and play a vital role in assessing, mitigating, and monitoring vapor intrusion risks in commercial, industrial, and residential properties. This position requires frequent travel to project sites and involves working with environmental consultants, engineers, and regulatory agencies to implement effective mitigation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough site assessments to identify and evaluate vapor intrusion risks related to soil and groundwater contamination.
- Perform air, soil gas, and sub-slab sampling to detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other environmental contaminants.
- Install, maintain, and monitor vapor intrusion mitigation systems, such as sub-slab depressurization systems and vapor barriers.
- Operate and calibrate environmental monitoring and sampling equipment, including gas analyzers, sampling pumps, and pressure monitors.
- Collect and analyze data, preparing comprehensive reports detailing findings, mitigation strategies, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with engineers, environmental consultants, and regulatory agencies to develop and implement site-specific solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Educate clients and stakeholders on vapor intrusion risks, mitigation strategies, and system operation.
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, laboratory test results, and project progress.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Technical degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus).
- Prior experience in vapor intrusion assessment, mitigation, or environmental consulting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of EPA and state regulations regarding vapor intrusion and mitigation techniques.
- Proficiency in using environmental monitoring and sampling equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Comfortable working in various field conditions, including confined spaces and inclement weather.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to multiple project sites as needed.
