Position Summary:
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects. This includes analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to ensure budgets are comprehensive and align with client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor costs, and overhead.
- Develop accurate take-offs and ensure all quantities are captured.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and purchasing teams to gather and verify cost information.
- Research and analyze pricing for electrical components, materials, and equipment.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Monitor industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Present cost estimates to clients, management, and stakeholders as required.
- Maintain and update estimating software and databases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably in commercial, industrial, or residential construction.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
