Fab Shop Electrician
Position Overview :
A Fab Shop Electrician is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and components for fabricated equipment, machinery, and structures. This role requires reading blueprints, wiring electrical panels, troubleshooting circuits, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical components in fabricated structures and machinery.
- Assemble and test electrical panels, control systems, and motor circuits.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems in a fabrication environment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and company safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with welders, fabricators, and engineers to integrate electrical components.
- Utilize tools such as multimeters, conduit benders, and hand tools for wiring and installation.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
