Job Description
We are a family-owned General Contractor, specializing in remodeling, looking to expand our business in Livingston County, Michigan. A Project Manager is needed for the Residential and Commercial Construction operation of our company.
Requirements of qualified candidate:
- 3 years in residential and commercial Project Management experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills a must!
- Must be willing to work flexible hours to perform estimates around our customers’ schedules
- Residential kitchen & bathroom remodeling
- Strong technical expertise in architectural design, structural requirements, mechanical, plumbing and electrical trades
- Knowledge of Construction estimating, scheduling, budgeting, materials, means and methods
- Email proficiency and Xactimate estimating software a plus
- Able to climb a ladder, walk roofs and load/unload materials when required
- Must pass a background check
- Dependable, with clean driving record
Daily responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:
- Oversee projects from pre-development initiation, through completion of construction.
- Managing multiple projects to ensure they are completed in a safe manner, within budget, schedule and in accordance with specifications and requirements.
- The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for the customer during the project and is responsible for client satisfaction.
- Meet directly with the customers at their home or at a commercial building site, to assist with product selections and take detailed measurements to place material orders.
- The Project Manager will work directly with the in-house estimator as a team. Together the team will be responsible for the overall success of the project.
- Create accurate schedules and scope of work for subcontractors and vendors.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the construction process to effectively prevent and/or manage risk and to seek solutions to problems as they arise.
- Monitor subcontractors to inspect workmanship, construction materials and installation details.
- Collections at project completion.
- Enter all invoices for subcontractors.
- Create and maintain subcontractor relationships.

Salary: $70,000 or more, based on experience plus commission
