What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Service Agent position at Trademark Collection by Wyndham?
Guest Service Agents are the first impression of our hotel when you walk inside. GSAs are responsible for greeting all guests that pass by the desk, assisting with checking into the hotel and checking out. They are responsible for manning the phone lines, answering inquiries about the property and information regarding the hotel, while booking reservations and everything in between. Their biggest responsibility is being the hub of communication between departments, from letting housekeeping know when there are big events to informing maintenance of issues in guest rooms. GSAs are the face of the hotel, they are the ones to interact directly with guests on a regular basis.
Job requirements include but are not limited to:
- Customer service skills
- Frequent standing
- Lifting up to 30 pounds
- Stocking areas necessary
- Helping other departments when asked
- Maintaining cleanliness of lobby, back office, and desk
- Some basic typing and computer knowledge
- Basic phone etiquette
- Basic math skills
- Occasional usage of the stairwells
- Ability to work some holidays and weekends
