Cashiering Support Specialist
The Cashiering Support Specialist processes all service requests submitted by advisors to the Cashiering Department. This role is responsible for money movement across multiple avenues and must be able to process requests accurately and timely.
Responsibilities:
- Process requests received for the cashiering department, including but not limited to ACH transfers, Fed Wire transfers, check distributions, journal entries, and custodian transfers
- Deposit checks received by mail/courier.
- Interact with advisors and their staff, and clients via phone, email, proprietary software, and mail.
- Liaise with clearing firm on a regular basis.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments.
- Participate in various company initiatives, such as testing and software rollouts.
- Validate, compile, and process daily advisor fee file.
- Conduct research based on advisor and/or client request.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of financial markets and securities industry.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent data-entry and writing skills.
- Professional demeanor in oral and written communication.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Understanding of financial rules and regulations, specifically IRA related topics.
- Back-office operational experience, preferably in the financial/banking industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a solid foundation in finance or economics or related field with 2 years’ experience. (Preferred)
- 2 years customer service experience
