We are looking for a Learning and Development Specialist who is searching to do what they love: developing and facilitating learning content for our Crew Members. The qualified Learning and Development Specialist has experience in learning and organizational development. This role is not remote and is based in our office in Monrovia, CA, Chicago, IL, or Boston, MA.
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for:
Facilitating effective training programs, workshops, and learning experiences using a blended learning model to increase engagement and retention
Creating a learning environment that is inclusive, thought-provoking, and fun.
Writing and designing content materials
Collaborating with the development team and other departments to conceptualize and create learning experiences that support Crew development and company growth
Continually developing knowledge in adult learning and leadership development trends
Strategically identifying methodologies and training delivery systems to support our store operations
Evaluating training to gauge successful outcomes and update curriculum as needed
Cultivates and maintains successful working relationships with Crew Members with a service mindset across the organization
Uses sound judgment and discretion in a decentralized leadership model
Other projects and assignments, as needed
The qualified candidate has:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in organizational development, education, or related fields is strongly preferred
At least five years of training or educational experience, and three years of leadership experience
Highly skilled in public speaking and training facilitation
Effective time management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Success in working collaboratively, and building and maintaining strong relationships
Experience in adult learning principles and designing learning
Strong working knowledge of learning management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and design tools (e.g. Adobe, Canva, etc.)
Ability to travel to multiple training centers
