JOB SUMMARY
A Summer Intern will play a vital role in supporting the church's ministries and key projects while gaining hands-on experience in ministry. This internship is designed to provide exposure to various aspects of church life, including shadowing ministry leaders, assisting with event coordination, and engaging in spiritual growth. The intern will be immersed in a dynamic, faith-based environment where they will contribute to the church’s mission, grow personally and spiritually, and develop practical skills for future ministry opportunities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS

Shadow Ministry Leaders: Work alongside staff and volunteers to learn about various aspects of ministry, including weekend services, children’s ministry, student ministry, and outreach programs.

Support Key Projects: Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of church events, summer programs, and outreach initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, support logistics, and help ensure events run smoothly. This will also include necessary administrative tasks as well.

Learn Church Operations: Gain exposure to the behind-the-scenes operations of the church, including finance, communications, volunteer coordination, and facilities management.

Participate in Leadership Development: Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops to grow in spiritual formation, ministry leadership, and practical skills for church ministry.

Engage in Spiritual Growth: Participate in trainings, retreats, and prayer meetings to deepen your personal faith and understanding of the church’s mission.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Previous volunteer or ministry experience is a plus, but not required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school degree

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
