Business Analyst

Trades Holding Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics and a deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and PowerBI. This role will involve analyzing business data, creating insightful reports, and providing actionable recommendations to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
• Report Creation: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft PowerBI to visualize key metrics and performance indicators.
• Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing data hygiene practices and maintaining a secure and compliant environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, marketing, and finance, to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on how to effectively use PowerBI and interpret the data presented in reports.
• Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and PowerBI updates, suggesting and implementing innovative features and solutions to improve data analysis capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in data analysis and business intelligence, with a focus on using Microsoft PowerBI.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data visualization, and DAX functions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Experience in training users and providing technical support.
• Certification in Microsoft PowerBI or related fields is desirable.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other data analysis tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL and database management.
• Familiarity with field service operations and business processes.

Compensation for the position will be commensurate with experience and have bonus potential.
