Youth Advocate

As a Youth Advocate, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day eperince of slected interns

within your group. You will serve as a guide, coach, and resource, providing insights into the workforce

and industry. Your role is to help interns integrate into the company culture, support their professional

growth, and ensure they are learning and contributing meaningfully at thier worksite.

Your involvement will significantly impact the interns’ overall experience and development.

SUCCESS FACTORS

* Preferred 1-3 years of youth work with students 8-12th grades

* Planning and implementing programs in an educational or recreational setting

* Basic understanding of Trade careers and must be comfortable discussing basic principles

* Team leadership and supervisory skills

* Able to work around children and adults of different ethnic and social backgrounds

* Proficient use of Microsoft suit, Teams & Sharepoint

* Strong organizational skills for programming and administration

* Clean and Safe driving record

* Able to lift 20 lbs.

CORE FUNCTIONS

* Work in a leadership team, planning and implement logistical and recreational aspects of PG - Createand maintain a safe and engaging atmosphere for students

* Serve as contact between Parents, Students and Worksite Partners

* Must be available Monday through Friday – No weekends

* Maintaining Files, track attendance and basic reporting

* Be able to visit worksite as needed, engage with students and bring materials if need to programs off-site in your own vehicle

* Participate in Orientations if available May 21st & June 11th in the evening

* Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour
