Position Overview:

TradeSentry LLC is looking for an experienced Functional Product Owner to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will focus on overseeing the development, enhancement, and optimization of our trading platform features. The Functional Product Owner will work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure that platform functionality meets market needs, delivers exceptional user experiences, and supports the growth of our platform. Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Feature Strategy: Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to define the roadmap and strategic vision for new features and enhancements that align with business goals and customer needs.
• Requirement Gathering & Prioritization: Gather, document, and prioritize platform feature requirements from stakeholders, ensuring that they are aligned with user needs, market trends, and business objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure features are built to specification, thoroughly tested, and optimized for high performance and user satisfaction.
• User-Centric Focus: Ensure that all platform functionality and enhancements are designed with the user experience in mind, promoting ease of use, accessibility, and trader empowerment.
• Product Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that high-value features are delivered first and that development efforts align with the strategic vision of the platform.
• Quality & Performance Assurance: Oversee the testing and release of new features, ensuring they are stable, secure, and meet quality standards. Collaborate with QA to ensure features meet functional requirements and perform optimally.
• Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor platforms, and user preferences. Use this information to influence feature prioritization and product development.
• Customer Feedback Integration: Actively seek feedback from end-users, traders, and other stakeholders to refine and improve platform features, ensuring TradeSentry’s platform remains competitive and relevant.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure all platform features adhere to regulatory requirements and comply with industry best practices in security, risk management, and data privacy.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in a product management, product ownership, or functional leadership role, preferably in the FinTech or trading technology sector.
• Strong understanding of day trading platforms, trading strategies, and financial market dynamics.
• Proven experience in managing the development of software platforms or SaaS solutions, from concept to release.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and customer support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a user-focused mindset, with the ability to prioritize features based on customer needs and business impact.
• Experience in agile methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, and release management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing trading technology, algorithmic trading, or quantitative analysis tools.
• Familiarity with platform performance metrics and tools for monitoring user behavior and feature usage.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and security best practices within the trading and FinTech industries.
• Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
