Position Overview:

TradeSentry LLC is looking for an experienced Head of Design to lead and define the design vision and strategy for our platform. In this role, you will oversee the user experience (UX), user interface (UI), and overall visual design for all aspects of the platform. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create intuitive, user-centered designs that enhance the trading experience for both retail and institutional traders. As the Head of Design, you will be responsible for establishing design standards, driving innovation, and ensuring that TradeSentry’s platform remains user-friendly, visually engaging, and aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Strategy & Leadership: Lead and define the overall design vision and strategy for TradeSentry’s trading platform. Ensure that design decisions align with company objectives, user needs, and industry best practices.
• User-Centered Design: Champion the principles of user-centered design, ensuring that every aspect of the platform delivers a seamless and engaging experience for traders. Prioritize the creation of intuitive, accessible, and functional interfaces that meet the needs of users at all skill levels.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to integrate design solutions that enhance platform features, improve usability, and drive customer satisfaction.
• Design Systems & Standards: Develop and maintain design systems, standards, and best practices that ensure consistency across all user interfaces, from web to mobile. Lead efforts to create scalable, modular design solutions for future platform growth.
• UX/UI Design & Prototyping: Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs. Ensure designs are well-documented, easy to implement, and deliver a seamless user experience.
• Research & User Testing: Lead design research, including user testing, feedback collection, and analysis of user behavior. Use insights to refine and improve design solutions, ensuring the platform remains aligned with user expectations.
• Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a growing design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to junior designers while promoting professional development and skill growth.
• Innovation & Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in design, UX/UI, and the trading industry. Continuously explore new tools, technologies, and design approaches that can elevate the platform and improve user experiences.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure that the design language aligns with TradeSentry’s brand identity and enhances the company’s overall messaging, positioning, and market presence.

Required Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior management role.
• Proven experience designing for complex software platforms, ideally in FinTech, trading, or SaaS environments.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work, with a focus on user experience, interaction design, and visual design for web and mobile platforms.
• Deep understanding of design principles, including usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Experience leading a design team and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, marketing, etc.).
• Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
• Solid understanding of design systems, prototyping, and user testing methodologies.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to think strategically, balancing user needs with business goals and technical constraints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering design solutions that are practical and impactful.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with financial technology platforms or trading interfaces.
• Familiarity with agile development processes and collaboration with agile teams.
• Understanding of data visualization principles and how to design complex, data-driven user interfaces.
• Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
