Your Role as an Voice Data Technician Level I :
As a Level I Voice / Data Technician, you'll work closely with a larger installation team, contributing to the successful installation of network cabling systems in commercial structures. Responsibilities include :
- Structured Cabling Installation : Install structured cabling systems following industry standards, with minimal supervision.
- Terminations : Terminate Cat5e and Cat6 cables at workstations and user ends.
- Cabling : Identify, pull, and label Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.
- Collaboration : Work with the installation team to ensure all network cabling projects meet best practices and industry standards.
- Blueprints and Schematics : Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for accurate installations.
- Independent Work : Pull, identify, label copper and fiber cabling, and install support structures independently.
- Tool Proficiency : Use four-pair testers, toners, snips, punch tools, ringers, and other industry-specific hand tools.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to pass an extensive criminal background check.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule.
