Job Title: Manufacturing Associate/Operator

Type: Direct Hire/Full-time

Location: Lima, NY

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm, Mon - Fri OR 7am - 3:30pm, OT open once trained

Pay: $18/hr - may go to $19 if the candidate has related industry experience

Position Summary:

Assist in the manufacturing and assembling of all phases of industrial filters. Provide various laborious support functions to general manager on an as needed basis.

Principal Job Functions:

• Fabricates and assembles products and more according to directions.
• Reads process travelers, blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
• Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed. Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education - High school diploma or equivalency required

Skills:

• Ability to read and understand work instructions and/or drawings.
• Able to read a tape measure/measure in general.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Works well as a productive member of a team.
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.

Equipment to be used:

Manufacturing - Computerized shipping system, Slitter, spot welder, staplers, shears, squeeze table, heat table, pneumatic tools, and other various hand and power tools

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to squeeze with their hands and have the manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must have ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and/or components.
• Must be able to wear gloves and ear protection.
• Must be able to stand up to 8-10 hours a day.
• Must be able to lift over head
• Must be able to bend and lift.
• Must be able Climb ladder.
• Must be able to operate large machinery.

Mental Demands

• Must be able to read and write
• Perform basic math calculations
• Operate computer system

Working Conditions:

• Work in a manufacturing setting with machinery noise
• Work outside periodically

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
