Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a clean and finished look for all projects.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and caulking as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Conduct remodeling tasks as needed to ensure surfaces are ready for painting.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.
- Utilize knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate colors and finishes.
- Perform concrete finishing work as required for specific projects.
- Execute frame carpentry tasks related to painting projects when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial and residential painting is essential.
- Familiarity with caulking techniques and surface preparation methods is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction painting practices is an advantage.
- Experience with concrete finishing will be considered a plus.
- Understanding of frame carpentry is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to weld is a nice-to-have skill that may enhance project capabilities.
