What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADAPT Substitute Pre-Vocational Production Trainer position at Tradewinds Services?
Department : Production
Hours : As Needed - Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3 : 30 pm
This is a substitute position to fill in as needed, working with adults with developmental disabilities.
Description of Position : Responsible to train participants based on their individual pre-vocational goals as identified in their Individual Service Plans. In addition, provide training to enable the person served to maximize their performance on a variety of production jobs. Job accommodations and daily written documentation are required regarding participants' progress and related service issues. Participation in consumer person-centered planning meetings is required.
Education Requirements : Minimum High school diploma or GED; post-secondary / training preferred.
Experience Required : Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in education and / or teacher's aide experience. Shipping experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task as well as effectively communicate both orally and written. Must be able to objectively and calmly handle crisis situations.
