Production Trainer

Department: Pre-Vocational

Hours: Full-Time (1)

Description of Position:

• Responsible to train Pre-Vocational participants based on their individual goals as identified in their Person-Centered Individualized Service Plans (PCISP). Provide reinforcements and support as specified in individual Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and Health Risk Plans. Train participants to enable the person served to maximize their performance on a variety of production jobs.
• Curriculum instruction to enhance employability and daily living skills.
• Daily complete written documentation regarding each participant’s progress toward achieving goals as well as their behavior and/or risk plans (as applicable). There are a total of 16 participants daily per work area.
• Actively engage in conversation with participants throughout the day, providing work instructions, monitoring quality of work, tracking individual progress toward goals.
• Accurate daily record keeping on Individual Goals/tasks, attendance logs and timecards.

Experience Required:

• 1-2 year’s experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in education and/or teacher’s aide experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or business setting preferred.
