Tradition Golf Club is a special place. We are known for our golf, our beauty, history and warm and friendly members. Tradition offers an 18-hole course, 9-hole par 3 course, practice facilities, over 100 member and family events, full fitness facility, spa services, bocce ball, pickleball and many enriched programs and fun social events.
During the fall, winter, and spring seasons, Tradition Golf Club operates and is looking to fill a full-time or part-time position from approximately October 2024 to June 2025. Candidates must have a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, as non-traditional work hours are necessary for the role. Time off requests will not be granted in March or April, as these months are key event and festival months
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Bartender position at Tradition Golf Club is responsible for beverage control and general cleanliness of all bar areas. The Bartender consistently displays and provides the Three Steps of Service at all opportunities, which meet and exceed the Member's expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
- Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
- Greets member/guests in a courteous, friendly manner
- Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control
- Checks members/guests at the bar for proper identification
- Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
- Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops; secures bank
- Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized
- Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area
- Washes and sterilizes stemware
- Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers
- Customer Service – Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Teamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers
- Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma/GED
- 2-5 years of related experience in full service/upscale dining (Preferred)
