The Cash Management Assistant is responsible for administrative duties for the Cash Management department and superb quality customer service to our business clients. The Cash Management Assistant performs assigned duties under the general supervision of the Cash Management Director. Assists in gathering information, completion of applications, agreements, and memos required for the onboarding of new Cash Management clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs secretarial and clerical duties, including preparing correspondence and reports for the Cash Management department.
Prepare and maintain various reports using and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Completes daily, monthly, and quarterly reports. Maintains retention of Lockbox documentation.
Monitors, updates, and closes requests in the cash management referral system.
Maintains the opening and closing of commercial accounts. Tracks outstanding documentation and follows up with relationship manager to complete document package.
Serves as back-up to Cash Management Director and Cash Management Associates by taking applications and additional information when required.
Proficient with online banking, bill pay, small business bill pay, wires, positive pay, remote deposit capture, Zelle, mobile check deposit and business credit cards.
Orders scanners for CCX and responsible for inventory and required maintenance for equipment.
Responsible for superb quality customer service by greeting clients, creating and maintaining a friendly atmosphere.
Develops client relationships through phone calls, letters, and personal contact.
Completes on-line compliance training as required.
Perform other duties as required.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
1. Associate degree from two year college or university in business administration, finance, or accounting or related field preferred. Two to five years bank experience and or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
2. Minimum of two - three years previous banking customer service experience and general banking/deposit/account opening procedures experience.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact and to discuss bank products with customers in a courteous and professional manner; both over the telephone and in person.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers and other employees. Exercise necessary sensitivity when dealing with confidential information.
5. Ability to organize and prioritize work flow and manage projects. Analytical skills necessary to compile and summarize data.
6. Significant problem solving and decisions making skills.
7. Skilled in operating office equipment such as: personal computer, copy machine, and various software.
8. Proficient computer skills, including Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Prefer knowledge in PowerPoint.
9. Good calculation of and math skills to troubleshoot basic problems which may arise with customers’ online banking services.
10. Knowledge of Federal regulations such as Reg D, Reg E, CIP, OFAC, and others.
11. Knowledge of accounting concepts and procedures.
12. Enthusiasm and the initiative to take pride in work. Personal and professional skills necessary to maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance.
