What are the responsibilities and job description for the CORE SYSTEMS ASSISTANT position at Traditional Bank, Inc.?
Responsible for providing support for the core banking application including all interfaces to that application. Provide assistance to the Core Systems Administrator in determining the impact and effect of changes to the core that occur through the loading of releases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supports all core related issues related to loan and deposits, including customer account maintenance.
Supports third party interfaces to the core and when necessary assists with the setup of those interfaces.
Supports the core test environment and the testing of new products, changes to existing products, batch updates, and the loading of releases to the testing environment.
Works with departments to review and improve core utilization and functionality.
Conduct reviews of core job definitions and tasks with managers to ensure accuracy.
Monitors the core and associated reports and performs maintenance to improve performance, implement a requested change, or as required for a break fix.
Be an active participant in the core community by attending user group conferences and staying knowledgeable in new and future product trends.
Works with the training and development department to communicate and educate all staff of process changes and new enhancements.
Monitor backups of the core system and work with IT staff to resolve any backup related problems.
Completes required training as assigned.
Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED. Essential Qualifications include the following.
- A Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university in related field and/or a minimum of three years’ experience in computer and/or banking environment, and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Understanding of core banking systems and how they are used throughout the Bank.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Good written and oral communication skills; good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
